Dry Ice Cleaning
A tool we use when it is appropriate for your equipment and your problem — waterless, residue-free, non-abrasive when properly selected, with reduced cleanup and the potential to reduce downtime.

A tool we use when it's right for your equipment
Dry ice cleaning — CO₂ blasting — uses compressed air to accelerate pellets of solid carbon dioxide at a surface. The cleaning happens through three working principles: kinetic impact, thermal effects and sublimation.
On impact, the pellets deliver kinetic energy that dislodges contaminant from the surface. The extreme cold of the pellets (-109°F / -78.5°C) creates a thermal shock that helps brittle contaminants contract and crack away from the surface. And because the pellets sublime — turn directly from solid to gas — there is no secondary cleaning media left behind to clean up.
The practical benefits: waterless cleaning, no chemical cleaning residue, minimal secondary cleaning media, non-abrasive applications when properly selected, reduced cleanup, and the potential to reduce downtime. That's why dry ice is one of several tools EcoTech uses — chosen when it is appropriate for the customer's equipment and the problem, never as our entire identity.
- Waterless cleaning — no water runoff
- No chemical cleaning residue
- Minimal secondary media (pellets sublime away)
- Non-abrasive when properly selected
- Reduced cleanup and potential to reduce downtime
- Used where it fits your equipment — not as our identity
